Lake of the Woods / Nestor Falls Moose Hunting
 |
Northumberland Resort
has 7 Bull Moose tags and 2 Cow Moose tags for WMU 16b, which are all fly-in camps. They have 4 Bull Moose tags and 2 Cow tags for WMU 1c, which is a drive to hunt. They offer three styles of hunts. There is an unguided fly-in outpost cabin hunt, a fly-in fully-guided American Plan hunt where your meals are provided and there is a do-it-yourself hunt. Northwestern Ontario’s wilderness stretches far and the moose herds are healthy. This northern area of Ontario has thousands of square miles of untouched wilderness where there are no roads. The only access is by floatplane so there is very little hunting pressure on the moose population. The terrain of trees, rocks, water and swamp is natural moose habitat, a perfect place for Moose hunting at its best!

Big North Lodge & & Outposts is a drive-in lodge at Minaki, 25 miles north of Kenora, Ontario, with fly-in outposts at Roger Lake & Maynard Lake. Our fully-guided bull moose hunt is a fly-in Archery Hunt at Roger Lake in WMU 3, hunting out of our deluxe outpost cabins. You will hunt in an area known for its large moose, and our hunt takes place during the rut. The bull responds well to calls at this time, making this a very exciting hunt. Bulls have been taken from as close as 10 yards. Our success rate has been around 40%. We take a maximum of 4 hunter each fall. Our hunt is all-inclusive: accommodations, meals, guide, boat & motor, all flights.
